Transition Services, Inc. (“TSI”) knows you care about your privacy and that you expect us to protect it.

What information does TSI collect?

We collect information from you when you register as a user on our website. When registering on our website, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter personal information such as your name, e-mail address, and social security number.

What does TSI use your information for?

Any of the information we collect from you may, if applicable, be used in the following ways:

  • to process enrollment and related transactions regarding the administration of a Supplemental Unemployment Benefits Plan (“SUB Plan”) which may provide salary replacement benefits to you as a displaced worker during a period of unemployment.

Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your prior consent, other than for the express purpose of:

  • delivering the SUB Plan service requested;
  • administering a blind and confidential survey upon the completion of the SUB Plan program to ensure exceptional TSI customer care; and,
  • sending you periodic e-mails. The e-mail address you provide may be used by TSI to send you information regarding your SUB Plan claim, respond to inquiries, and/or other requests or questions.

How does TSI protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer technology and then encrypted into our database to be only accessed by those authorized with special access rights to our systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. We restrict access to your personally identifiable information to those employees who need to know that information to provide benefits or services to you. In addition, we train our employees about the importance of confidentiality and maintaining the privacy and security of your information. We commit to taking appropriate disciplinary measures to enforce our employees’ privacy responsibilities.

After a transaction, your private information will not be stored on TSI’s servers.

Does TSI use cookies?

We do not use cookies, web beacons or any other similar devices to track your TSI website activities.

Does TSI disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is required to comply with the law, enforce our website policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. TSI may also disclose information about you if we determine that such disclosure should be made for reasons of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance.

Information From Other Sources

TSI may receive information about you from other sources, such as our clients (i.e. your current or former employer). Such information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your prior consent, other than for the express purpose of delivering the SUB Plan service requested.

Updating Your Personal Information

You have the right to access, correct and delete inaccuracies in your personal information at any time. When you contact us please include your name, address, e-mail address and details of the update request.

Compliance with State Statutes

Because TSI values your privacy, we have taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with the California Online Privacy Protection Act and with the Connecticut Privacy Protection Policy Compliance statute. We therefore will not distribute your personal information to outside parties without your consent.

TSI has also taken the necessary precautions to be in compliance with all other applicable state statutes including, but not limited to, the Nebraska and Pennsylvania statutes.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance

TSI is in compliance with the requirements of COPPA (“Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act”) and as regulated and enforced by the Federal Trade Commission. TSI does not knowingly attempt to solicit or receive or collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Our website and services are all directed to people who are at least 13 years of age or older.
